S1 and S2 Modes

Introduction to S Series

The S series modes were developed to support larger bandwidths up to 3.5 kHz.

S1 Mode

• Resolution: 320×240 pixels
• Transmission Time: 110 seconds
• Bandwidth: 3.5 kHz
• Color: Color
• Frequency Range: 1200-2300 Hz

Features of S1

• Higher bandwidth than M1
• Same transmission time
• Better frequency response
• Suitable for SSB modulators

S2 Mode

• Resolution: 320×240 pixels
• Transmission Time: 145 seconds
• Bandwidth: 3.5 kHz
• Color: Color

Features of S2

• Enhanced signal quality
• Better image fidelity
• Best choice for low-noise environments
• Common mode in amateur radio
